[Video] Official trailer for the film "After the Quake," based on the novel by Haruki Murakami　Masaki Okada, Koichi Sato, Ryo Nishikido, Shinichi Tsutsumi, and others

The official trailer for "After the Quake" (directed by Go Inoue), a film adaptation of Haruki Murakami's short story, has been released. The trailer tells the story of the characters played by the main cast, including Masaki Okada, Yui Narumi, Daichi Watanabe, and Koichi Sato.

"After the Quake" shares a story with the drama "After the Earthquake," which aired on NHK in April, but adds new scenes that connect the four main characters, including Okada, and will be released with editing unique to the film version.

"After the Quake" is a dramatization of four stories from Murakami's collection of short stories "All God's Children Dance" (published in 2000), which he published after the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, starring Okada, Narumi, Watanabe, and Sato. The setting is not only set in 1995, but extends all the way to 2025, depicting the 30 years of "after the earthquake" that continue into the "present." The director is Go Inoue, who has worked on popular works such as the drama "Children of the Town" and the TV drama series "Amachan." The script was written by Oe Takayoshi, who also wrote "Drive My Car."
