The 39th episode of the NHK Taiga drama " UNBOUND (Berabou) " (General TV, Sunday 8pm and others), starring actor Ryusei Yokohama , titled "Unable to Live in the Pure Land of Shirakawa, Half My Life", was broadcast on October 12th, and fans of the period drama "Onihei Hankacho" responded to the exploits of Hasegawa Heizo ( Nakamura Hayato) which were depicted from the last five minutes of the main story.
"UNBOUND (Berabou)" is the 64th taiga drama and depicts the life of Tsutaya Juzaburo(or "Tsutajyu" for short), who is said to have laid the foundations for Japan's media industry and pop culture. The script was written by Yoshiko Morishita, who is known for her work on the highly talked-about "Drama 10: Ooku," which aired on NHK two years ago.
In the 39th episode, Tsutaju (Yokohama), who established a stock association of local book wholesalers, successfully persuaded the people conducting the reform and sold three works by Sankyoden (played by Masaaki Furukawa) as "teaching readings." Meanwhile, Utamaro (Sometani Shota), exhausted after losing Kiyo (Fujima Sawako), leaves Edo with Tsuyo (Saki Takaoka).
A little while after the new year, a police officer and a police constable suddenly appear at Tsutaya and order the three "Learned Readers" to stop printing. Tsutaju and Kyoden are taken to prison, but Tei (AI Hashimoto) appeals to Shibano Kuriyama (Shimada Kyusaku) and somehow manages to get the case resolved. Tsutaju only receives a half-price sentence, and the shop reopens for business. Before long, Koshodo becomes a thriving business as a rare "half-price shop" in Edo... and so the story unfolds.
Towards the end of the film, Heizo visits Sadanobu (Inoue Yuki). He tells Sadanobu that a group of people calling themselves Aoi Kozo have been wreaking havoc in the city recently, and on Sadanobu's orders, Heizo goes out to arrest the thief, who claims to be the illegitimate son of the former lord. He appears at the crime scene in his familiar costume from the historical drama "Onihei Hankacho," and declares, "I am Hasegawa Heizo, from the Arson and Theft Investigation Department! Please be brave and tie me up!", successfully capturing him.
Viewers responded on social media with comments such as, "A different drama is starting lol," "The production has changed lol," "Ohhhh Onihei Hankacho!" and "Onihei Hankacho!" Comments such as, " Nakamura Hayato san's voice is so good," and "It's Hasegawa Heizo! Nakamura Hayato's Heizo is cool too" were also posted one after another.
