[Video] Ryohei Suzuki "mentions" the possibility of "TOKYO MER" becoming a series, "I hope so," answers fans' questions

Actors Ryohei Suzuki, Nanao, and Yosuke Eguchi appeared on stage on August 14th in Tokyo to give thanks for the huge success of the theatrical release "TOKYO MER - The Running Emergency Room - Nankai Mission" (directed by Aya Matsuki).

The film attracted 1.96 million viewers and grossed over 2.6 billion yen in the 13 days it was released, from August 1 to 13. At the event, one audience member said he had already seen it 10 times, and Suzuki was surprised, saying, "You're not lying, are you?", as he thanked the fans for their enthusiasm.

The film is a sequel to the 2023 feature film "TOKYO MER: Running Emergency Room," a TV drama starring Suzuki. Nankai MER is established, traveling around the islands in the sea between Kagoshima and Okinawa, and TOKYO MER's chief doctor, Kitami (Suzuki), and nurse, Kuramae (Nanao), are seconded there. One day, a massive eruption occurs on a volcanic island, putting the lives of all 79 islanders in danger. The new MER members embark on the greatest mission in history to save all lives... This is the story.
