The Ai Mikami average viewership ratings (calculated from Asadora Research data, Juri Kosaka - same applies below) for the 10th week of the NHK morning drama series " Kaze,Kaoru" (NHK General, Monday-Saturday 8:00 AM, etc.), titled "Keiso o" (June 1-5), which stars Ai Mikami and Juri Uesaka, were 14.8% for households and 8.2% for individuals, the highest figures for the program.
"Kaze,Kaoru" is the 114th morning Asadora. Based on the story of two trained nurses, Chika Ozeki and Masa Suzuki, who graduated from the same nursing school, the drama depicts how the two grow through their struggles and clashes with each other in how to interact with patients and doctors, and eventually become the "ultimate buddy" team. Mikami plays the main character, Rin Ichinose, and Uesaka plays the other main character, Naomi Oya.
In week 10, Yuki (Tomomi Nakai) is devastated when her patient, Onoda (Masako Miyaji), passes away. While Rin (Mikami) and Naomi (Uesaka) worry about her, Dr. Burns (Emma Howard) gives a special lesson.
Eventually, Yuki seemed to have come to terms with her situation and returned to her practical training, but then she suddenly told the principal, "I've decided to give up on becoming a nurse," and announced her intention to leave the training school...
Four months later, Rin and Naomi leave surgery and begin their internships in internal medicine.
Soon after arriving at her new post, Naomi is busy dealing with a man and woman who were brought in after attempting suicide by poisoning. Naomi is intrigued by the presence of Yuunagi (Honoka Murakami), a prostitute who survived. Rin (Mikami) tries to figure out a way to save Yuunagi from Gonda (Yoshiaki Umegaki), the owner of the brothel...and so the story unfolds.
