Episode 10, "Tai Shan Fu Jun," of the TV anime "MAO," based on the latest work by Rumiko Takahashi , known for manga such as " Urusei Yatsura ," "Ranma 1/2," and "Inuyasha," will be broadcast on NHK General on June 6th at 11:45 PM.
Mao forces the attacking shikigami to drink a talisman, setting a trap to lure out the shikigami's user. Suddenly, a giant made of fish and water appears. The giant demands that Mao teach him the Taishan Fukun technique, the ultimate secret technique of Onmyodo that manipulates people's lifespans.
The original manga has been serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" (Shogakukan) since May 2019. Set in the Taisho era, it's a dark fantasy x time-slip mystery about Mao, an onmyoji (exorcist) who has lived for 900 years, who meets Kiyoha Nanaka, a girl who has wandered in from the Reiwa era, and together they confront a chain of curses. The anime is directed by Teruo Sato and produced by Sunrise. It will be broadcast for two consecutive seasons.
