The first day stage greeting for the sixth chapter, "The Blue Labyrinth," of " Be Forever Yamato: Rebel 3199, " the latest installment in the remake series of the popular anime " Space Battleship Yamato ," was held on June 26th at Shinjuku Piccadilly (Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo). It was announced that "Yamato 3199" will consist of seven chapters in total, and the final chapter, the seventh chapter, "Rainbow-Colored Reincarnation," will be screened from October 30th. Director-General Harutoshi Fukui stated, "Some people are wondering if it will really end, but it will end. It will end in a way that will surprise you in the next chapter."
Fukui revealed, "That song was played in the preview. The fundamental idea for this story came to me because of that song. I intend to convey that fully in Chapter Seven."
Director Naomichi Yamato, screenwriter Hideki Oka, and voice actress Eriko Nakamura, who plays Mikage Kiryu, also appeared on stage for the greeting. Yamato said that they are putting all their effort into creating the final chapter, saying, "Everyone is working hard every day," while Oka urged the audience, "Something wonderful awaits you. We hope you will come and enjoy it at the theater."
"Yamato 3199" is a reinterpretation and reconstruction of " Be Forever Yamato" and "Space Battleship Yamato III," incorporating new interpretations.
