The ninth episode of the TBS Tuesday drama "Toki Sude ni Osushi!?" (Tuesdays at 10 PM), starring actress Hiromi Nagasaku, will air on June 2nd. Producer Chiaki Masuda spoke about the highlights and behind-the-scenes stories from the filming.
The drama tells the story of Minato Machiyama (played by Nagasaku), who, having finished raising her children, is bewildered by the "time to herself" that she finally has again at the age of 50, but begins her second life and jumps into a "sushi academy" where she can become a sushi chef in three months.
◇Highlights of Episode 9
The Sushi Academy classes are finally reaching their culmination. Minato and the others will be inviting actual customers and diving into counter practice! Having lived her life up until now as a mother, Minato will confront the meaning of "doing things for others" once again through this practice.
Meanwhile, Oedo (Kenichi Matsuyama) also experiences an unexpected reunion. A man named Taiyo Nishikawa, who is an "unforgettable presence" for him, makes an appearance. The role of Nishikawa will be played by Ryuhei Maruyama of "SUPER EIGHT"! What kind of impact will Nishikawa's presence have on Minato and the other members of Oedo's class?
Through conversations with the supervising master craftsmen and teachers, I learned a great deal about the importance of "facing the person in front of you" and the spirit of a true craftsman. I felt that this is something that applies to people in any profession. This is reflected throughout this ninth episode.

◇Behind-the-scenes stories from the filming of Episode 8
Episode 8 had "play" as its theme. From the beginning of filming, Shiro Sano, who plays Funao Tateishi, whose true identity is finally revealed, has given us many stylish and playful ideas, such as the cocktails that are served at "Veteran-ko" and the French phrases that Tateishi suddenly utters.
This episode was the first time the entire Oedo class was together for an outdoor shoot, and the atmosphere on set was filled with excitement. The bowling scene was a long shoot, but the playful cast members thoroughly enjoyed themselves on set, practicing their cool bowling forms on the empty lanes.
