NHK Sapporo Broadcasting Station's regional information program "Hokkaido-do" will air "Miho Takagi's Thoughts on Tokachi, the 'Kingdom of Skating' - You and NEXT -" on NHK General (Hokkaido Block) at 7:30 p.m. on May 29th. The program will feature former speed skater Miho Takagi, who retired from competitive skating in March of this year, and will explore the teachings of the Takagi family that nurtured the legend, her feelings towards her hometown of Tokachi, which was the base of her competitive career, and her plans for the future.
The program featured a long interview with Takagi, more than two months after her last race. The interview took place at the Tokachi Oval skating rink, a place full of memories for her, and was conducted by Takayuki Suzui. The program also included plenty of rare footage of Takagi from her elementary school days.
The program will be available for streaming on NHK Plus for one week after its broadcast.
