The key visual for the "Anime WORLD TRIGGER Exhibition 'REBOOT'", an exhibition event held to commemorate the "REBOOT Project," a new project for the anime "World Trigger," which is based on the popular manga by Daisuke Ashihara, has been released. The visual, themed around "moving forward" and reminiscent of "REBOOT," depicts the characters, including Yuma Kuga, walking side by side.
This exhibition event looks back on the beginning of the "World Trigger" story, and will feature displays of Yuma and a replica of his Black Trigger, as well as an area recreating the training room inside Border Headquarters. "Top secret materials," such as character designs for the "REBOOT Project," will also be specially exhibited.
The event will be held at Sunshine City Exhibition Hall C (Toshima-ku, Tokyo) from August 11th to September 1st, and at the special venue C section on the 4th floor of the ATC ITM building (Suminoe-ku, Osaka) from November 14th to December 6th.
The "REBOOT Project" is a project to create a completely new anime adaptation of the original manga, starting from the first chapter. Morio Hatano will serve as series director, Hiroyuki Yoshino will be in charge of series composition, and Toshihisa Kaiya will be in charge of character design. The cast includes Yuki Kaji as Yuma Kuga, Yuki Kaji as Osamu Mikumo, Nao Tamura as Chika Amatori, Yuichi Nakamura as Yuichi Jin, and Hideyuki Tanaka as Replica.
"World Trigger" began serialization in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) in February 2013. It depicts the battle between Neighbors, who come from another dimension to invade "this world," and Border, a defense organization. It is currently being serialized in "Jump SQ." (Shueisha).
The first season of the TV anime aired from October 2014 to April 2016, the second season from January to April 2021, and the third season from October 2021 to January 2022.
