"Potsun to Ikkenya" (ABC TV/TV Asahi Network, Sundays at 7:54 PM) is a variety show that searches for isolated houses in remote areas using satellite photos as clues. The May 10th broadcast is a sequel to last week's episode featuring an isolated house in Ehime Prefecture, and will focus on the lives of a couple who moved from Tokyo and are practicing mountain dairy farming with goats, producing and selling drinking yogurt and pudding made with fresh goat's milk while allowing the goats to graze freely in the wild.
A 36-year-old man and his 35-year-old wife quit their jobs at the age of 29 to practice mountain dairy farming and raise goats in a natural pasture. Three years ago, they cleared a dilapidated plot of land and started a natural goat grazing farm deep in the mountains where there is no electricity or running water. "I wanted to be there to share his dream of dairy farming," his wife says.
The couple lives in a magnificent old farmhouse located in a mountainous area about two kilometers from the farm. They have added a workshop next to the entrance where they process goat's milk. Commercial-grade refrigerators and steam convection ovens are installed, ensuring impeccable hygiene. Their love for the goats is essential to producing goat's milk with a clean, refreshing taste free from any unpleasant odors or aftertaste.
The MC is George Tokoro, and the panelist is Osamu Hayashi. The guests are former mixed martial artist Masato and freelance announcer Erina Iwata.
