The sixth episode of " Akinaiseiden Kin to Gin 3," the third season of the NHK BS historical drama starring actress Fuka Koshiba (NHK BS Premium 4K, Sundays at 6:45 PM), will air on May 10th. " Akinaiseiden Kin to Gin" is a series set in the mid-Edo period that vividly and cheerfully depicts the lives of ordinary people who succeed in business through hard work and ingenuity, interwoven with a variety of customs and traditions. Season 1 aired in 2023, and Season 2 aired in 2025.
Season 3 will once again feature Sachiko (played by Koshiba), the seventh-generation owner of Gosuzuya, a kimono and fabric store that opened in Tawaramachi, Asakusa, Edo. As Sachiko's struggle to protect Gosuzuya reaches its climax, she will also arrive at a realization of something irreplaceable.
In the sixth installment, the date is December 14, 1761 (Hōreki 11). Gosuzuya celebrated its 10th anniversary.
Six years after being ostracized from the kimono merchants' association, Maruya, a kimono shop owner from Komagata-cho, suddenly appeared at a meeting of the Asakusa textile merchants' association.
