It has been announced that "AZ-17DX Ultrasaurus Munbay Specification," a new product in Takara Tomy's popular toy series "Zoids," will be released in late February 2027. This will be the first time that the Ultrasaurus equipped with the Gravity Cannon will be fully rendered in 3D. The price is yet to be determined.
The Ultrasaurus is a super-dreadnought dinosaur-type Zoid that was first commercialized in 1986. In the original anime "Zoids" which aired from 1999 to 2000, it appeared equipped with the anime-original giant gravity cannon, the Gravity Cannon. The "AZ-17 Ultrasaurus" (a standalone Zoid without weapons) without the Gravity Cannon will also be released at the same time.
It will be unveiled at the Takara Tomy (T-SPARK) booth at the 64th Shizuoka Hobby Show, which will be held at Twin Messe Shizuoka (Suruga Ward, Shizuoka City) from May 13th to 17th.
