A special video for the Disney & Pixar animated film "Toy Story" was released on May 5th, which is "Toy Day."
"Toy Story," the first feature film from Disney and Pixar, was produced in 1995 and released in Japan in 1996. The story of a boy named Andy whose toys come to life and go on adventures when humans aren't looking, and the full CGI that brought toys like Woody and Buzz Lightyear to life, became a worldwide hit. The latest installment, "Toy Story 5," will be released on July 3rd.
"Toy Day" was established by the Japan Toy Association and the Tokyo Toy and Doll Wholesalers Cooperative Association with the aim of "giving children good toys," "respecting toys," and "deepening parents' interest in toys."
This special video, released to coincide with "Toy Day," looks back at memorable and touching scenes from "Toy Story" through "Toy Story 4," and serves as a bridge to the latest installment, "Toy Story 5." The narration is provided by Kensho Ono, the voice actor who played Andy in the Japanese dub of "Toy Story 3."
