The theatrical anime film "Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway's Flash" (directed by Shuko Murase), part of the popular "Gundam" anime series, released its second chapter, "Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway's Flash: The Witch of Circe," on January 30th. The release of the Gunpla model kit of the mobile suit Arryzeus, "HG 1/144 Arryzeus" (Bandai Spirits), on April 25th has become a hot topic. The Arryzeus engages in a fierce battle with the XI Gundam piloted by Hathaway Noah. During the fight, the outer shell comes off, revealing the mass-produced ν Gundam, and Hathaway is tormented by a vision of the ν Gundam and Amuro Ray. The ν Gundam is the mobile suit piloted by Amuro in the Second Neo Zeon War in "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack." In "M-MSV," the mass-produced ν Gundam is depicted equipped with fin funnels. However, in "Hathaway's Flash," the battle takes place on Earth, so the fin funnels, which cannot be used within the atmosphere, are not equipped. Fin funnels are an essential element of the ν Gundam's silhouette.
In the scene where the mass-produced ν Gundam appears, part of the shelf nozzle of the Alyuzeus resembles a fin funnel, and Hathaway confronts illusions of the ν Gundam and Amuro. The Alyuzeus becomes a device that exposes Hathaway as a wounded human being who cannot completely wear the mask of being the leader of the anti-Earth Federation government movement, Mafti.
