The 12th episode of the tokusatsu drama "Super Space Sheriff Gavan Infinity" (TV Asahi, Sundays at 9:30 AM), titled "Samurai and Ninja," will air on May 3rd.
Gavan Bushido/Setsuna (played by Ryuga Akabane), the "Space Sheriff Gavan" of the multiverse Earth Λ8018, begins to wonder if he, an android, might have emotions after talking with Reiji (played by Kohei Nagata) and others.
Setsuna tries various methods to finally be able to cry, something he has secretly longed for, but since he lacks the "ability to shed tears," he fails every time. "In that case..." he says, and heads to the "gathering of those who yearn for tears," where he finds Kumu (Kentaro Yasui), who has crossed dimensions to meet the other Gavans.
Finally, the samurai and the ninja Gavan face off...!?
"Super Space Sheriff Gavan Infinity" is the first installment of Toei's new tokusatsu series, "PROJECT RED." While inheriting the visuals and sci-fi elements of the original "Space Sheriff Gavan," which aired from 1982 to 1983, it is a completely new "Gavan" reconstructed with the latest visual expression and directing methods. The story unfolds in a worldview based on the "multiverse theory," which posits that there is not just one universe.
