The two-hour special of the variety show "Guruguru Ninety-Nine (Gurunai)" (Nippon Television Network), airing from 7 p.m. on April 16th, will feature the popular segments "Gourmet Chicken Race Gochi ni Narimasu! (Gochi Battle)" and "Cooking Handicap Match."
Actors Haruka Ayase and Kanata Hosoda appeared on the Gochi Battle. Ayase, participating for the sixth time, smiled confidently and said, "I'm all set," while giving advice to first-time participant Hosoda, saying, "Just eat deliciously," which drew laughter.
Meanwhile, new members Hayato Sano and Kana Kurashina have yet to pay anything out of their own pockets. Kurashina says, "It's surprisingly easy," and Sano also shows a mysterious condescending attitude, saying, "You're all just weak," but will this be their "X-day"? Guest Ayase says, "I'm suspicious," and Hosoda looks to the sky and says, "I'm absolutely certain I'll come in last."
The setting for this event is "Mai," a Japanese restaurant located in the Westin Hotel Tokyo (Meguro Ward, Tokyo), with a set budget of 25,000 yen. The total amount that the eight participants will have to pay out of pocket will be around 200,000 yen.
