The first key visual for the TV anime "Egagaku Naruue wa," based on the romantic comedy manga serialized in the manga magazine "Young Animal" (Hakusensha) and on the website "Young Animal Web," has been released. It captures an "emotional and passionate youth" as the bright and energetic gal heroine, Niina Miyamoto, and Yuki Uehara, who harbors a secret passion for manga, draw manga back to back.
The work is a manga written by Yumi Takahata and illustrated by Yuji Kamata. It follows Yuki Uehara, who aspires to be a manga artist, and Niina Miyamoto, a gyaru (fashionable young woman), as they engage in a secret pseudo-romance in order to draw manga.
The anime will be directed by Shunsuke Ishikawa and produced by Studio ROLL2. Ayumu Murase will voice Ayumu Murase and Sayumi Suzushiro will voice Sayumi Suzushiro Miyamoto.
