Nobuteru Ishihara, former Secretary-General of the Liberal Democratic Party and now a journalist, will appear on the talk variety show "Shabekuri 007" (Nippon Television Network) airing on March 23rd at 9 p.m.
On this day, Nobuaki, his wife Risa (a former actress), and their daughter and son made their first television appearance together as a family. The conversation began with the story of how Yoshizumi Ishihara played Cupid in meeting Nobuaki and Risa, and then little-known episodes of the Ishihara family were revealed.
Nobuaki also revealed some surprising anecdotes about his father, Shintaro Ishihara, such as "Meals were served in two sittings, and we didn't eat together until I was in junior high school," and "He told me to have my wedding in an hour and a half." Furthermore, former Prime Minister Fumio Kishida made a surprise appearance. He spoke about their relationship, which spans more than 30 years since his first election, and how they have walked together as comrades in arms. When asked, "You're sometimes called the 'tax-raising glasses guy,' aren't you?", former Prime Minister Kishida replied with humor, "When I made a YouTube video about the 'tax-raising glasses guy,' that was the time I got the best reaction," adding, "It's a self-deprecating joke, though."
