Asahi Kuroda, a member of the Aoyama Gakuin University track and field team who showed an amazing performance in the 5th leg of this year's 102nd Tokyo-Hakone Intercollegiate Ekiden Race (Hakone Ekiden) and attracted attention as the "New God of the Mountains," will appear on the talk variety show "Odoru! Sanma Goten!!" (Nippon Television Network) airing at 8 p.m. on March 17th.
MC Akashiya Sanma was very interested in Kuroda, asking, "You're graduating this year, right? What are you going to do?" When Kuroda said, "I think this will be the last time I wear the green and white jersey that is characteristic of Aoyama Gakuin," Sanma made everyone laugh by saying, "You want an Aoyama Gakuin jersey, don't you? Give it to me."
In a segment titled "Special Abilities Acquired Through Club Activities," Kuroda revealed that he "likes to push the limits," and shared an anecdote about something he did in high school to get to school that contributed to the birth of his "New God of the Mountains" persona.
Furthermore, when asked, "Do you watch your own race on TV after the Hakone Ekiden is over?", Kuroda gave an unexpected answer, prompting Sanma to retort, "You're not going to improve."
The episode, titled "Celebrities Who Were Amazing in Club Activities," will feature guest appearances by Abareru-kun, Erina Arai, Rikka Ihara, the Sato Brothers, Shoei, Reiko Takashima, Takeshi Tsuruno, Mei Higashimura, Yayoi Miyagi, and Hokuto Yoshino from "THE RAMPAGE."
