The eighth episode of the TBS Tuesday drama "Mirai no Musuko" (Tuesdays at 10 PM), starring actress Shida Mirai, aired on March 10th. Child actor Amano Yu plays Sota, who encourages Mirai (Shida) after he breaks up with Makoto (Hyodo Kokai), drawing tears to the audience as he says, "He's such a good man" and "He's such a capable son."

Mirai, who believed that Makoto was "Ma-kun," tried to cherish their relationship. However, when Makoto started helping out with the family business, he brought up the idea of breaking up, saying, "If I stay the way I am now, I won't be able to be there for you and the others when it's important," and Mirai accepted.
When Mirai returned home, she asked Souta, "Can you tell me a little bit about it?" and told him about what had happened with Makoto.
Souta looked at Mirai's sad face, and without saying anything, he stroked her head and gave her a hug to cheer her up.
Social media was abuzz with comments such as, "It was amazing when Souta patted Mirai's head and hugged him without saying a word," "There was no direct exchange of words but you could tell right away from Souta's expression what he had conveyed, and then the head pat and hug that followed had me in tears. Souta must be going through a lot, but he's so kind," "Come on, come on, Souta is just such a good guy," and "I cried my eyes out when Souta encouraged Mirai without saying a word after she broke up with Yano. He's such a great son."
