The idol group AKB48 has been appointed as the brand ambassador for JA Zennoh's original brand, Nippon Yell. The inauguration press conference was held in Tokyo on Getsuku, and Momoka Ito, who is the center of the group's latest single, "Nagori Sakura," and others attended.
"Nippon Ale" is an original brand of JA Zennoh that uses agricultural and livestock products from all 47 prefectures in Japan. It has released gummy candies made with local fruit juice, as well as collaborative products with various companies that support the brand's purpose. AKB48 has previously appeared on JA Zennoh's TikTok to promote the product, but from now on, as brand ambassadors, they will help farmers all over the country and engage in a wider range of PR activities.
In reference to "Nippon Yell," when asked who she would like to give cheers to, Ito answered "my mother," and said with a smile, "I would like to give Hokkaido Butter Corn Pilaf to her." She continued, "No matter how late I am at work, my mother is always awake and waiting for me at home. This pilaf is easy to cook and delicious, so I would like to give it to my mother, who supports me no matter how busy she is."
Her senior, Yagi Azuki, said she wanted to give Ito some encouragement, saying, "You really work hard every day, so I'd like to give you some peach gummy candy since you're Momo-chan. Momo-chan loves gummy candy, so I'm sure she'll love it, so I hope she eats it and feels better!" Ito responded with, "Thank you, I'll definitely eat some!"
General manager Narumi Kuranoo praised Ito, saying, "It's only been two years since she joined, but I'm amazed at how quickly she's grown," and encouraged her to "take care of yourself." She continued, "What's great about Momo is that she eats everything with gusto. It's so nice to see her smiling every time she eats! Let's continue to show off Momo's charms and do our best as a brand ambassador!"
