The second film adaptation of the anime series " That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime(That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime )," based on a popular light novel on the Shosetsuka ni Naro ," was That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime in 348 theaters on February 27th, and it has been revealed that it has grossed over 300 million yen in three days. The film attracted over 220,000 viewers, ranking third in the weekend attendance rankings (according to Kogyo Tsushinsha) on its debut.
It was also announced that the second bonus for visitors will be "original photo-style cards" featuring original illustrations, which will be distributed from March 6th. The cards depict scenes such as Rimuru and his party enjoying a brief vacation after the Tempest Inauguration Festival, and Gobta and the shrine maiden Yura having a friendly conversation in the Kingdom of Kaien.
In the second movie, Rimuru and his friends are invited by Heavenly Empress Hermesia of the great elven nation, the Sorcerer Dynasty of Sarion, to visit her resort island. They meet Yura, a shrine maiden from the kingdom of Kaien who has been watching their movements from the shadows, and become embroiled in an incident that threatens to shake the peace of Kaien.
"That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime" is a popular light novel by Fuse, posted on the novel submission website "Shosetsuka ni Naro." It depicts a modern-day office worker who is reincarnated into another world and becomes successful. The manga adaptation, written by Yasuki Kawakami, is currently being serialized in "Monthly Shonen Sirius" (Kodansha).
The first season of the TV anime aired from October 2018 to March 2019, the first part of the second season from January to March 2021, the second from July to September 2021, and the third season from April to September 2024. A completely new movie version, " That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime as a Slime the Movie: Guren no Kizuna-hen," with a story originally conceived by Fuse, was released in November 2022. The fourth season of the TV anime will consist of five seasons, with the first and second seasons airing every Friday at 11pm on Nippon Television's anime slot "FRIDAY ANIME NIGHT" from April 3rd. It will be broadcast as two consecutive seasons.
