Motoyasu Tamada of the male chorus group Bonny Jacks will be a guest on BS12 TwellV's program "Tsurube-chan and Sawako-chan: A Great Senior from the Showa Era and the Strange Two," which will air from 9:00 PM on March 2nd. Tamada, who has been in the entertainment industry for over 65 years and is still active at the age of 91, continues to cheer up the residents of a nursing home through his songs, and will share many stories from his childhood.
The show features guests each time, including two "Showa era greats" who call Tsurube Shofutei, who has 53 years of experience in the entertainment industry, and Sawako Agawa, who has 42 years of experience, "Tsurube-chan" and "Sawako-chan."
Tamada was born in Andong Province, Manchukuo in 1934. He talks about his childhood, including stories of his music-loving family and the intense life of travel.
He also talks about Bonnie Jacks, who have sung numerous children's songs such as "Te no Hira wo Taiyou ni," as well as his recording with comedian Kenichi Enomoto, also known as "Enoken," and his live performance on "Tetsuko's Room."
