Actor Dean Fujioka appeared at "FUJI DRAMA COLORS 2026 SPRING" held in Tokyo on March 2nd.
Dean Fujioka will star in the Fuji TV Wednesday 10pm drama "LOVED ONE," which will start airing on April 8th, playing the eccentric genius forensic scientist Mizusawa Masumi.
The title "LOVED ONE" is a word that forensic pathologists offer to a corpse as a sign of respect, and Dean Fujioka said of the drama, "Recently, many important people I've had pass away, so given the timing in my life, I feel that this is the work and character I should be taking on now."
Regarding the character she plays, Mizusawa Masumi, she revealed, "Recently I've been exploring different ways to enjoy acting, and I've been given the opportunity to play a variety of roles, from clumsy characters to silly half-criminals. This time, I'm playing a character who deals with human life and the dignity of life, but I hope to create a character that also has a cute side like Chiikawa."
"LOVED ONE" is a drama in which members of a newly formed forensic specialist team, "MEJ (Medical Examiner Japan)," take on a number of difficult cases while tracing the last silent traces left behind by people who were supposed to be someone's family, lovers, or friends.
