Actor Kuranosuke Sasaki stars in the NHK BS period drama "Fuurai Cloud" (NHK BS/BS Premium 4K, Sundays at 6:45 pm). The subtitle of the sixth episode, which will be broadcast on March 1st, is "The Whirlpool of the Past," and the synopsis and scene cuts have also been released.

"Fuurai Cloud" is a period drama based on the manga of the same name by George Akiyama. The setting is Shinagawa-shuku at the end of the Edo period. "Fuurai Cloud" is an eccentric man who wears a woman's kimono and has his hair tied in front of his forehead. With a fluffy and elusive appearance, he lives his days freely, but before you know it, he gently changes the destinies of others. It is a hymn to humanity filled with laughter and tears.
In the sixth episode, which will be broadcast for the first time in a month, the proprietress, Orin (Noriko Nakagoshi), who is being stalked by an ex-boyfriend, asks Kumosuke/Sadahachi (Tomoya Maeno), who works at Yumeya, to pretend to be her husband.
Knowing that Sadahachi has feelings for Orin, Furaba Kumo (played by Sasaki) encourages him. Meanwhile, the new recruit Kumosuke Kumezo (played by Imai Tsubasa), hired by Yumeya's head clerk, Yokujiro (played by Issey Ogata), is found out to be a returning resident of the island.
The story unfolds as Shunju Boss (Rokuhei Naomasa), who has just become a detective, suspects that Kumezo is the culprit behind a series of street murders...
