It has been announced that Yuna Nemoto, Jin Ogasawara, and Tomohiro Ohno will appear as the main cast members of the TV anime "Romeria Senki," based on the light novel by Ryo Ariyama, which originated on the novel submission website "Let's Become a Novelist." Nemoto will play Romelia von Graham, the daughter of an earl who defeats the Demon King with her fiancé but then breaks off their engagement, Ogasawara will play Al, a soldier in Romelia's army, and Ohno will play Ray.
Nemoto commented, "Romelia is able to do things that ordinary people would never think of, so I worked hard during the dubbing with the support of many people, including my co-stars, so that I could convey her charm and keep up with her thoughts and feelings. I really respect her strength and conviction as she builds things up one by one from nothing. Please be sure to watch Romelia and her friends' battle!"
Ogasawara said, "The story and characters' emotions are persuasive and deep, thanks to careful depictions. The military elements are depicted quite realistically, while fantasy elements are mixed in with them in an excellent balance. I think it's a work that combines reality and fantasy in an exciting way, like Metallized Wood. Al, who serves as the captain of the Romelia squad, appears to be a rough and violent man at first glance, but in reality he is a charming man who is more thoughtful and caring towards his comrades than you would expect. I hope you will pay attention to his buddy-like relationship with Ray, as well as the changes in his feelings towards Romelia."
Ohno said, "I think The Romelia Chronicles is a story of growth. There are many characters with unique personalities who show different sides to them as they interact with others. Ray is a slightly timid and quiet young man, but he also meets many people, including Romelia, and has a variety of experiences. I will do my best to give my all in the recording so that I can grow along with Ray! Please look forward to the broadcast!"
Nemoto, Ogasawara, and Ohno will be appearing on the talk stage at the Pony Canyon booth at Anime Japan 2026, which will be held at Tokyo Big Sight (Koto Ward, Tokyo). The stage will start at 11:30 AM on March 29th.
The story is a "post-war" war tale in which the protagonist, Romelia, defeats the Demon King, but is then told by the prince that he has broken off their engagement, and so begins creating a new world. The comic book adaptation has also gained popularity, with the total number of copies sold in the series exceeding 550,000. The anime will air in 2026.
