Meat Spa Tsuchimoto's manga "Giriko Kirigiri: The Limit Office Lady," currently being serialized on Shueisha's manga app "Shonen Jump+," has transitioned from an indie serialization to a regular serialization starting with chapter 73, which was released on February 17th. The indie serialization feature on the app allows works that win first place in the "Serialization Competition Ranking" project, which allows for the right to serialize within the manga submission service "Jump Rookie!", to be freely serialized on "Shonen Jump+" by individuals without the need for name checks by the editorial department, with additional manuscript fees depending on the number of views for each chapter. The work has been serialized as an indie serialization since September 2024, but has transitioned to a regular serialization due to the support of many readers.
Previously, works that have transitioned from indie serialization to regular serialization include "Ramen Akaneko" and "Kindergarten Wars," both of which have grown into popular works with TV anime adaptations being announced. By transitioning to regular serialization, a work will be assigned an editor and receive support, as well as be able to take advantage of the efforts of the "Shonen Jump+" editorial department, such as a guaranteed comic book release, advertising revenue based on the number of views, the ability to turn your favorite page into a T-shirt, and simultaneous overseas distribution on "MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA."
"Giriko Kirigiri, the Office Lady at the Limit" is an ensemble drama that revolves around the "office lady" Giriko Kirigiri and the people around her. Since its indie serialization, it has gained popularity, with each new chapter trending on X. The first volume of the manga, released in October 2025, was reprinted before its release, and is already in its fourth printing. The short anime, which has been streaming on the work's official social media account since May 2025, has garnered a total of over 8 million impressions. It was ranked 8th in the web manga category of the "Next Manga Awards 2025."
