The sixth episode of the TV Asahi Friday night drama "Detective-san, Your Backpack is Open," starring Matsuda Ryuhei, will be broadcast on February 12th at 11:25 PM (excluding some regions). From this episode, Kaho will appear as Kanbayashi Rika, the "first love" of Ichinose Yosuke (Matsuda).
Matsuda himself was involved in the planning of the drama, and it is a heartwarming mystery that was born from a collaboration with screenwriter and director Shuichi Okita. Set in the small rural town of Nishigaya Onsen, the detective and inventor Ichinose Yosuke solves the strange requests that come one after another in a relaxed manner, making it a heartwarming story with laughter and tears.
Rika, played by Kaho, is a popular actress and Yosuke's high school classmate. During high school, Yosuke received a love letter from Rika, but for some reason she never replied, and the two went their separate ways and never met again. In episode 6, the two meet again for the first time in 22 years.
In fact, Rika is suspicious of her husband Takashi's (Ayumu Nakajima) behavior and asks Yosuke to investigate his behavior. Meanwhile, Yosuke and Rika spend their time together reminiscing about their high school days at a stylish cafe and enjoying lunch in Yokohama Chinatown, just like they're on a date in Yokohama.
However, just then, Yosuke and Rika are walking happily when they unexpectedly bump into Takashi. Takashi confronts Rika, asking, "What are you doing?" The atmosphere of their heart-pounding date takes a turn for the worse... and so the story unfolds.
