The 87th episode of the NHK morning drama "Bakeke" (General TV, Monday to Saturday 8:00 AM and other times), starring Akari Takaishi, was broadcast on February 3rd. In the episode, rumors began to circulate that Toki (Takaishi) was a "Rashaman," which made Heaven (Tommy Bastow) furious. The couple's exchange drew the attention of viewers.
Toki is depressed by the gossip going around town. Tsukasasuke (Takashi Okabe) also gets into a fight with a sumo wrestler who is making baseless rumours while delivering milk, and suffers a facial injury. Hearing a noise outside the front door, Heaven and Toki go to check it out and find a fan with the words "Toki Rashamen" written on it thrown in.
A worried Nishikori (Yoshizawa Ryo) rushes over to Heaven's house and explains that the rumors about Toki were caused by an article in the Matsue Shimpo newspaper. Then, Kajitani (Iwasaki Udai), who wrote the article, comes over and apologizes, saying, "I'm sorry... I didn't mean to do that, but it just started catching fire..."
When Kajitani asked, "Toki-san, you're really...really...not a Rashaman, right?" Heaven became enraged and shouted in English, "Don't mess with me! Shut up! I can't forgive you!" Heaven threw Kajitani into the garden and shouted, "Get out! Get out!" Heaven told Toki, "It's okay... I'll take care of you," and gave him a gentle hug.
Later, Toki and Fumi (played by Chizuru Ikewaki) disguise themselves and go shopping, but are refused the sale of clams, with the shopkeeper saying, "We can't sell to you guys." The two flee the scene, hiding their faces, but on their way home, someone throws a stone at Toki, causing her forehead to bleed.
When Toki gets home, Fumi treats his wounds, and he mutters, "I can't show Heaven how badly I look." Meanwhile, Heaven returns, and Toki hides behind a large cloth, laughing and saying, "Hehehe..." Heaven sees his wife with a bandage around her head. He embraces the crying Toki and tells her, "It's okay."
Enraged, Heaven ran out the front door, shouting, "No, no!" with a wooden sword in hand. There she found a discarded voodoo doll. Toki desperately tried to stop Heaven, who was trembling with rage, saying, "Stop it! That's not okay! I'm fine!"
Comments on social media about the couple's interactions included, "Takaishi and Tommy's acting skills," "I was overwhelmed by their intense acting in the final scene...," "Heaven's loving actions brought me to tears again," "Otoki's gaze at the end was amazing," "Heaven hugged Toki and kissed him on the head. It was a painful scene, but it made my heart flutter," and "It's painful for both Otoki and Heaven-sensei. They haven't done anything wrong."
