It has been announced that the second season of the TV anime "Vigilante: My Hero Academia ILLEGALS," an official spin-off of Horikoshi Kohei's popular manga "My Hero Academia," will begin airing on February 9th with the "Aizawa Student Arc." The season will depict Aizawa Shota (Eraserhead), Shirakumo Oboro (Loud Cloud), and Yamada Hizashi (Present Mic) during their time at U.A. High School. It has also been announced that Koyama Rikiya will play a new character, Hyness Purple, the president of the company where Kayama Nei interned.
A youthful key visual has been released, depicting Aizawa, Shirakumo, and Yamada hanging out on the school rooftop against the backdrop of a summery blue sky. A promotional video has also been released, depicting Aizawa, who is still lacking in self-confidence, growing through the presence of his friends Shirakumo and Yamada, and his internship activities. The ending theme "Miss You" by the band "Scheiderp" plays midway through the video, which was created with Aizawa's thoughts in mind. Character visuals of Aizawa, Shirakumo, Yamada, and Kayama in their school uniforms have also been released.

Set in Japan several years before the events of the main story of "My Hero Academia," the series depicts the drama of illegal heroes known as vigilantes who, while not being "chosen," cannot help but save those in front of them, despite being the "chosen" heroes who protect people from villains who misuse their "quirks."
