It was revealed on February 2nd that the average weekly viewership rating (households) for the 17th week of "Bakeke" (NHK General TV, Monday to Saturday 8am and others), starring Takaishi Akari, "Nanto, Iuka." (January 26th to 30th) was 15.4% (calculated from Video Research, Kanto region).
"Bakeke" is the 113th morning drama. Based on the story of Lafcadio Hearn (Koizumi Yakumo) and his wife Setsu, the story follows a couple, with a love of ghost stories, as they go about their everyday lives together with their foreign husband. Takaishi plays the main character, Matsuno Toki, while Tommy Bastow plays Toki's husband, Lefkada Heaven.
In the 17th week, Toki (played by Takaishi) becomes the talk of the town thanks to "Heaven Sensei Diary." However, this causes a strain on his relationship with Sawa (played by Marui Wan).
Heaven (Tommy Bastow) manages to comfort the heartbroken Toki. Meanwhile, Sawa is studying hard to obtain her teaching qualifications. Then Shoda (Shogo Hama), who has returned from Tokyo, offers to help her with her studies. At first, Sawa reluctantly listens to Shoda's advice, but gradually she opens up to him and begins to respect him.
One day, Toki and Heaven arrive while Sawa and Shoda are with them. Heaven takes an instant liking to Shoda and invites them to her home. A few days later, Shoda returns alone to visit...
Later, when Shoda reunites with Nishikori (Yoshizawa Ryo) after a long time, he decides to take over as Nishikori's English teacher at Matsue Junior High School and confesses to Sawa that he wants to become her husband. However, for some reason, Sawa turns him down. The reason is heartbreaking: "I can't be Otoki. I can't walk the same path as Otoki. I can't be Cinderella." And so the story unfolds.
