The 23rd installment of the popular anime series "PreCure," "Detective PreCure!", will be broadcast on ABC TV and TV Asahi every Sunday at 8:30 a.m. starting February 1st.
The motif of "Detective PreCure!" is "detectives," and the theme is "see, feel, think, and find the 'true' answer for yourself." The main characters are girls who work as detectives with the desire to "help people in trouble," and are guided by a mysterious power to travel back in time from the present day of 2027 to 1999. The story transcends time and depicts the Pretty Cure's new encounters, friendships, and growth.
The cast includes Senga Hikari as Cure Answer/Akechi Anna, Hondo Kaede as Cure Mystic/Kobayashi Mikuru, and Toyama Nao as Cure Arcana Shadow/Mori Aruru. The mysterious Pretty Cure Cure Eclair will also make an appearance.
In the first episode, "Birth of Detective PreCure!", Akechi Anna travels back in time to 1999. On her 14th birthday, Akechi Anna returns home with her mother and notices a pendant in her room. Thinking it's a birthday present from her mother, Anna puts on the pendant, and suddenly, a mysterious fairy appears. The fairy, who calls out to her, "Come with me, Pochi, and help me!", and the pendant begins to glow, and the two are engulfed in the light.
After falling somewhere, Anna meets Kobayashi Mikuru, a girl aspiring to become a detective. Mikuru, believing Anna and Pochitan to be examiners for the "Detective Test," notices that Anna is not wearing shoes and goes shoe shopping with her, but Pochitan runs out while Anna is choosing shoes. Anna follows Pochitan to a wedding hall where the bride is in trouble after losing her precious tiara. Anna offers to help, and Mikuru and Anna begin searching for the tiara.
