Murase will play Shija, one of the new characters who arrives in Shinsenkyo in the second season, and the most insane ninja of the Ishigakure clan. Shija is a character that has been attracting attention, with fans of the original manga speculating on who will play him even before the show aired. Shija appeared in episode 17, which aired on February 1st, and it was revealed that Murase will be playing him.
Shija is a ruthless and brutal "craziest ninja," and his gender is unknown. In episode 17, the leader of the Ishigakure clan orders him to "kill Gabimaru," hinting at some ominous developments. Murase commented, "I absolutely, absolutely, absolutely wanted to voice Shija, so I went to the audition with all my heart and soul, and I was finally able to find the role. "Jigokuraku" was serialized in "Shonen Jump+" from January 2018 to January 2021.
