The 85th episode of the NHK morning drama "Bakeke" starring Akari Takaishi (General TV, Monday to Saturday 8:00 AM and others) was broadcast on January 30th. In the episode, Shoda (Shogo Hama), who has decided to become an English teacher, proposes marriage to Sawa (Wan Marui), and viewers were drawn to Sawa's "choice."
As Sawa is studying at the Shiratori Club, Shoda comes rushing in dressed in a suit. Shoda says, "I wanted to tell you first," and "I asked if I could be an English teacher at Matsue Junior High School, and you agreed." Sawa also congratulates him, saying, "You're teaching, Shoda. You're so cool, I love you. Congratulations."
Shoda began by saying, "This is why I became a teacher today..." and continued, "Let's become husband and wife. I'm in love with you, Osawa. That's why I've decided to become a teacher. Starting next month, I'll earn 25 yen a month. With that, I'll pay off the debt on Osawa's house and move out of the tenement." He expressed his honest feelings.
The scene changes and Toki (Takaishi) comes to Sawa at Tengoku Tenya. Sawa murmurs, "I'm such an idiot," and confesses, "I was so happy... so happy... I felt like I was in heaven... or rather, I was already in heaven... I had absolutely no reason to refuse... I just couldn't get a hold of him... His hand... I just couldn't get a hold of him."
Toki asked, "Why?" and Sawa replied, "It's because of O-Toki. I... can't be O-Toki. I can't walk the same path as O-Toki. I can't be Cinderella." Toki apologized, "I see. I don't really understand, but I'm sorry," and handed her a bouquet, saying, "And... by the way... one more thing, sorry... I brought this."
Sawa cried loudly into Toki's chest, "I loved you so much... It's all your fault, Toki!
