The fourth episode of the drama series "Okome no Onna - National Tax Agency Document Investigation Division, Miscellaneous Affairs Room" (TV Asahi, Thursdays 9pm), starring Nanako Matsushima, will be broadcast on January 29th.
Masako Yoneda (Matsushima), a tax investigator who heads the Tokyo Regional Taxation Bureau's "Complex National Tax Case Processing Office" (commonly known as Zakkoku), learns from her fellow rice-loving colleague Mayumi Miyagi (Keiko Horiuchi) about a phishing scam that tricks office workers into fraudulently claiming income tax refunds. Masako stops Mayumi just before she files a false tax return, and suspects that many people who have been fooled by this method are also getting their hands on fraudulent refunds.
Sasano Koichi (Sano Hayato) heads out to investigate after hearing that it was "Masako's friend" and is shocked to find that the person who nearly deceived him is his mother, Mayumi.
Sasano's investigation reveals that the fraud group frequently changes their contact information and the bank account to which they transfer their consultation fees, making it difficult for the Zakkoku members to track them down. Masako wants to get a clue about the "invisible enemy" whose identity is unknown, so Sasano asks her mother Mayumi for help and suggests that they carry out a "bait operation." Worried about Sasano's lack of composure, Masako decides to temporarily suspend the investigation, but...
Meanwhile, Haijima Naoya (Katsumura Masanobu), secretary to the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, Takaba Soichiro (Chiba Yudai), is visiting the home of Masako's father, Taji (Terao Akira), for some reason.
