The 14th episode of the popular detective drama "AIBO Season 24" (TV Asahi, Wednesdays at 9 PM), starring Yutaka Mizutani and Yasufumi Terawaki, titled "The Rose and the Beard's Accusation," will air on January 28th. The episode features the famous gay bar character Hiroko (played by Atsushi Fukazawa), also known as "Hiroko Mama." Hamatsu Takayuki, who rose to fame in the 2017 film "One Cut of the Dead," will also make a guest appearance.
A male employee of an apparel company is murdered. The First Investigation Division attempts to interview Yoshizawa (Hamatsu), the lawyer who was the victim's last phone call, but is turned away due to confidentiality obligations. Then Ukyo (Mizutani) and Kaoru (Terawaki) arrive after being contacted by Hiroko.
Hiroko was apparently on friendly terms with Yoshizawa, a tenant in the same building, and out of concern for him, she sent an SOS to the Special Investigation Unit. According to Hiroko, the company the victim worked for was suspected of being a black company, and a female employee had recently committed suicide. Yoshizawa had apparently accepted a request from that woman.
Ukyo and Kaoru, sensing a connection between the deaths of the two employees, begin investigating and discover that the incident may have been triggered by the victim reporting illegal activity at the company. Meanwhile, information is leaked that the president of the company in question was trying to identify the informant. The Special Investigation Unit delves into the dark side of modern society.
The script was written by Kodama Yoriko and the director was Tamura Kozo.
