Actors Manami Fuji and Mariko Kaga appeared on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), which aired on January 26th. They talked about their memories of Kaga's visit to Fuji's house and her health.
Kaga-san often went to Fuji-san's house to eat dinner. She would call out "Fuji Manami" loudly from downstairs, so the whole neighborhood could hear her. "Former Prime Minister Ikeda's residence and a church are nearby, and this person calls out loudly."
Kaga recalled, "When he was hungry, he would say things like he was your husband," to which Fuji replied, "My ex-husband loved you," to which she replied, "Guys like that love me."
Kaga-san said about her health, "I have a great appetite and a good metabolism." When it comes to cooking, she said, "I don't cook at all. I brag about it, but I don't cook. It's the same as Kazuko Yoshiyuki. I prefer to cut with scissors than to hold a knife." She has also been doing Pilates for 12 years.
He often eats out with his partner of 23 years. Fuji was the first to congratulate him on finding a great person. "He's a really nice young man. He has a good job," Fuji praised, to which Kaga replied, "But he's an old man now. He's 75. He's in the late stages of old age."
