It has been announced that a film concert for the second season of the TV anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End," based on the manga currently being serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" (Shogakukan), titled "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Film Concert 2026," will be held on August 1st at the National Hall of Pacifico Yokohama (Nishi-ku, Yokohama).
Following the overwhelming response to the "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Orchestra Concert" held in August 2024, shortly after the first season of the anime aired, the "Film Concert 2026" will be held. As with the previous concert, the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra will perform, and Evan Call, who is in charge of the music, and milet, who is in charge of the ending themes for the first and second seasons, will also make an appearance.
The original soundtrack for the second season, which will be released on April 15th, will include a special early application ticket. Evan Call commented, "I'm happy to be able to bring you the ' Frieren: Beyond Journey's End' concert again this year. The Yokohama performance in 2024 seems like just yesterday, and I feel like I have a better understanding of Frieren's sense of time. This time, there will be lots of songs from the second season! I'm grateful to all the fans, and I'll bring you the ultimate musical magic! I hope to see you at the venue."
"Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" is a manga written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe, which began serialization in Weekly Shonen Sunday in April 2020. Freiren is a magician in the hero's party who defeated the Demon King. Being an elf, Frieren lives a long life. After experiencing the death of a companion, she embarks on a journey to "discover people." The manga has been selected for the Manga Taisho 2021, the 25th Osamu Tezuka Cultural Prize Newcomer Award, the 69th (2023) Shogakukan Manga Award, and the 48th Kodansha Manga Award in the Boys' category. The manga has sold over 32 million copies.
The first season of the TV anime aired on Nippon Television's anime slot "FRIDAY ANIME NIGHT (Furaani)" from September 2023 to March 2024. The second season is currently airing in the same slot every Friday at 11:00 PM.
