It has been revealed that Takako Ota, who played Morisawa Yu and Creamy Mami in the Pierrot Magical Girl anime series "Creamy Mami, the Magic Angel Angel Creamy Mami," and Yu Mizushima, who played Otomo Toshio, will be appearing in the latest installment of the series, "Magical Sisters Lullutto Lily."
The Pierrot Magical Girl series is a series of five works that were broadcast on television between 1983 and 1998. The new TV anime "Magical Sisters Lullutto Lily" will be broadcast for the first time in about 28 years since the fifth work, "Magical Stage Fancy Lala," which aired in 1998, and is also attracting attention.
Ota commented, "The Pierrot Magical Girl Series started with Creamy Mami, the Magic Angel Mami, followed by Magical Fairy Persia, Magical Star Magical Emi, Magical Idol Pastel Yumi, Magical Stage Fancy Lala, and the latest work, Magical Sisters Lullutto Lily. Creamy Mami is the story of Morisawa Yu transforming into Creamy Mami, and I haven't seen Lullutto Lily yet, but there are two girls on the poster, and I think the girl on the left somehow resembles Morisawa Yu. The characters are also colored in pale pastels, so I'm looking forward to it as the latest Pierrot Magical Girl. I want to remember the feelings I had when Creamy Mami first started and support Lullutto Lily with pure hearts."
Mizushima said, "The Pierrot Magical Girl Series is one of my masterpieces. The latest, completely original work, Lullutto Lily: Magical Sisters, will begin in April 2026. It's a miracle that a new series is starting even after so much time has passed since the first work in the series, Creamy Mami, the Creamy Mami, the Magic Angel Angel. Someone from Studio Pierrot told me, 'We have a role that's perfect for you, Yu-san,' so I'm taking part. And that person too...stay tuned!!"
"Magical Sisters Lullu Lily" depicts the story of Nonoyama Kaze, an innocent elementary school student, and Nonoyama Ryu, a modest but hardworking middle school student, who use their magical powers to become idols. Kaze and Ryu were close sisters, but the distance between them had been growing. One day, Kaze encounters a mysterious spaceship and is granted magical powers. Meanwhile, Ryu also gains magical powers. Kaze and Ryu transform into the adult forms they had always dreamed of, but there are rules: "The deadline is one year" and "No one must know about the magic," so they each begin to work as idols, unaware of each other's secrets. Kaze transforms into Konpeto Lily, and Ryu transforms into Mashururu.
Shintaro Dokai, who has worked on "Arknights [Perish in Frost]" and other titles, will serve as director and will also be in charge of the original character designs. Yuko Kakihara will be in charge of series composition and scriptwriting. The cast will include Mei Tachibana as the younger sister of the protagonist, Kaze Nonoyama, and Nao Ojika as the older sister, Nagare Nonoyama, as well as Hiroki Nanami, Ai Kayano, Fuka Izumi, and Fuu Hirohara. The series will air in April.
To commemorate the broadcast of the latest series, a new design Blu-ray Disc (BD) box set for the first series, "Creamy Mami, the Magic Angel Angel Creamy Mami," will be released on April 29th. It was also announced that the second series, "Magical Fairy Persia," the third series, "Magical Star Magical Emi," and the fourth series, "Magical Idol Pastel Yumi," will also be released in BD box sets for the first time.
