The first episode of TBS's Sunday Theatre "Reboot" (Sundays at 9pm), starring Suzuki Ryohei, aired on January 18th. Nagase Ren of the popular group King & Prince appears as Fuyuhashi Wataru, a direct subordinate of Go Roku Wataru (Kitamura Yukiya), the head of an underground organisation. Viewers commented, "I'm hooked," and "Nagase Ren's dark side is great!"

Nagase is an employee of an NPO that supports children, but behind the scenes he is Goroku's direct subordinate and is responsible for carrying out Goroku's work.
With the help of Ichika Kogo (Erika Toda), Hayase (played by Suzuki) disguises himself as "Gido." Ichika tells him that "Goroku has called," and he is taken to a private room in a steakhouse. Fuyuhashi and others are waiting in front of the room, and Fuyuhashi performs a body check on Hayase with ease.
The organization's executives are gathered in a private room. Goroku arrives, puts on an apron, and starts making garlic rice. Meanwhile, Goroku has Ichika report that a total of 14.9 million yen has been withdrawn from two bank accounts.
The garlic rice is ready, and the executives begin to eat, but only Ando (Tsuda Atsuhiro) has a trembling spoon in his hand. "It's better to eat something delicious and end this on a happy note," Goroku tells Ando, who pleads his innocence, but Fuyuhashi hits him from behind with a baton, knocking him unconscious. Ando is dragged into another room, and two gunshots ring out.
Fuyuhashi emerged from the room where the gunshot had rang out, expressionless. Goroku told him to eat the garlic rice Ando had left behind, to which he replied, "Itadakimasu (thank you for the meal)." Fuyuhashi ate the rice greedily, spilling some, and said, "It's delicious."
On social media, people were talking about Nagase Ren, saying things like, "Nagase Ren is great as a villain! This makes each week even more fun," "Nagase Ren is great as the ill-mannered mad dog. I want to see what happens to him," "He's perfect for dark roles," "Nagase's facial expressions are great in all the scenes he appears in, and his presence really caught my eye," "I feel like Nagase Ren is perfect for this role," and "Nagase Ren is so heartless, he's great."
The drama is a suspense story about Hayase Riku, who is framed for the murder of his wife, abandoning his family and past to reboot himself as a corrupt detective, Gido, and pursue the real culprit. The script is written by Tsutomu Kuroiwa, who has worked on many hit Sunday Theatre dramas such as "Grand Maison Tokyo," "TOKYO MER: Running Emergency Room," and "My Family."
