It has been announced that the short drama streaming service "BUMP" will exclusively stream "The Great Marriage Wars of Shallow Cinderellas," starring Yuka Ogura, from 7:00 PM on January 21st. This marks Ogura's return to acting after a hiatus of about five years.
The drama is a romantic comedy about a former popular girl from Minato Ward who is on the brink of disaster in life, who rushes into the "battlefield" of a matchmaking party in order to seize the marriage of her dreams, and engages in a battle for a prince.
Ogura has been gaining attention as a "beautiful woman with an 8-head body ratio," and last year she made headlines for appearing on variety shows and returning to gravure modeling for the first time in about five years. In this work, she plays Kagawa Nana, a former Minato Ward girl who was once called the "Archangel of Minato Ward," but who is now in a desperate situation after turning 30 and being abandoned by her "daddy." There are 21 episodes in total, each about three minutes long.
Ogura commented, "I played the main character, who, even when cornered, continues to move forward positively towards his goal. I think the comical story development and the unique personalities of each of the characters are all highlights. It was difficult to incorporate elements into my acting that make the character shallow, yet strong, hardworking, and lovable, but with the help of the director, my wonderful co-stars, and the staff, I had a lot of fun filming and the three days went by in a flash. I hope that as many people as possible will enjoy it."
