The first episode of the TBS Sunday Theatre drama "Reboot" (Sundays at 9pm) starring Suzuki Ryohei was broadcast on January 18th. When pastry chef Hayase Riku (Matsuyama Kenichi) was pursued by the police, he helped Kogo Ichika (Toda Erika) transform into detective Gido (Suzuki) (i.e. reboot), which led many viewers to speculate that "Ichika has also been rebooted."

The drama tells the story of Riku Hayase, a pastry chef framed for the murder of his wife, who abandons his beloved family and past to prove his innocence and find the real culprit, and takes on the identity of corrupt detective Gido (a reboot). The script is written by Tsutomu Kuroiwa, who has worked on many hit Sunday Theatre dramas such as "Grand Maison Tokyo," "TOKYO MER: Running Emergency Room," and "My Family."
A skeletal body was discovered in the mountains. After an autopsy, it was determined that the body was that of Hayase's (Matsuyama Kenichi) wife, Natsumi (Yamaguchi Sayaka). Natsumi had disappeared two and a half years earlier.
When Ichika arrives at the funeral parlor after Natsumi's funeral, she sees Hayase and Natsumi's son, Takumi (Yazaki Akira), and for a moment she looks thoughtful. Then she calls out, "You're Takumi, right?"
"My name is Kogo Ichika, and I'm your mother's coworker. I also lost my parents when I was little. That's when I learned something. No one will help someone who looks down. It's going to be hard, but you have to look forward on your own. Do your best," she said, looking straight into Takumi's eyes.
Later, Ichika suggests to Gido that Hayase, who is suspected of murdering Natsumi and is being pursued by the police, reboot his life by changing his face, and she helps him with this.
On social media, there was a lot of excitement, with comments such as, "Could it be that Yamaguchi Sayaka has become Toda Erika?!", "It would be amazing if Toda Erika was a rebooted Yamaguchi... It's so suspicious, I feel like Yamaguchi is still alive", "Toda Erika is the rebooted wife of Matsuyama Kenichi, who was thought to be dead. When he saw his son, his face instantly reminded him of his mother", "The theory that Natsumi has been rebooted into Ichika is so on point and beautiful, but I can't help but feel like it's not quite right", and "The more I look at it, the more I wonder who Ichika is."
