The results of "Suppaiman presents #SweetAndSour Youth Audition supported by Sony Music Artists inc.", a project to discover the next generation of stars, jointly held by Uemama Confectionery (Tomigusuku City, Okinawa Prefecture), known for its plum confectionery "Suppaiman," and the talent agency Sony Music Artists (Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo), have been announced, with the grand prize going to 13-year-old Kaneshiro Yume (first year junior high school student) from Okinawa Prefecture.
Kaneshiro, who was selected from 524 applicants, will be the image model for "Supaiman" and will appear in commercials as well as work as an advertising model.
Kaneshiro commented, "I'm very happy to have been chosen as the Grand Prize winner! When I checked my email after school and it said I had won the Grand Prize, I was so surprised that I shouted out, "Eh?!" In the future, I want to remember to be myself, continue to be my smiling self, and continue working as a model for "Suppaiman." I also want to work hard to make my childhood dream of becoming a singer and actor come true!"
