Actor Matsudaira Ken and impersonator Korokke will appear on Kuroyanagi Tetsuko's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), which will air on January 7th at 1:00 p.m.
At Kuroyanagi's request, both Croquette and Matsudaira will perform impersonations. The two have been performing joint concerts for several years and are apparently very familiar with each other. They first met at a film studio in Kyoto, where Croquette witnessed Matsudaira's shocking behavior while dressed as the lord of "Abarenbo Shogun."
Croquette underwent surgery to insert artificial joints into both knees in February of last year. Matsudaira had performed with Croquette on stage before and after the surgery, so he was able to watch Croquette's efforts from close up. Matsudaira, at 72 years old, still performs intense sword fighting scenes, and last year he even rode a horse for the first time in 20 years for a shoot. Croquette was amazed by Matsudaira's light and nimble movements.
