"Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo" will be screened from Getsuku as the fifth installment of the "Monthly Eva EVANGELION 30th MOVIE Fest. 2025-2026," a revival screening project for the popular anime series " Evangelion ." It has been announced that comments from Akira Ishida, who voices Kaworu Nagisa, and Maaya Sakamoto, who voices Mari Illustrious Makinami, will be screened at the beginning of the screening. The comments from the two will be audio-only, and will last approximately eight minutes.
It was also announced that the screening will be a "voice-allowed screening." This follows the revival screenings of "Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone" and "Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance," and will be a special screening where people will be allowed to shout, cheer, support, and use glow sticks. The screening will be held on January 10th at Shinjuku Wald 9 (Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo), T-Joy Umeda (Kita Ward, Osaka), and T-Joy Hakata (Hakata Ward, Fukuoka).
The prequel to "Evangelion: 3.0 (-46h)" and "EVANGELION: 3.0 (-120min.)," which are included as bonus footage on the Blu-ray and DVD of "Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time," will be screened simultaneously. "EVANGELION: 3.0 (-120min.)" is a motion comic version of the original manga featured in the official booklet "EVA-EXTRA-EXTRA," which was distributed as a bonus to moviegoers attending "Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time," and this will be the first time it will be screened in theaters outside of event screenings.
To commemorate the screening, new cuts from both films have been released. The cut from "EVANGELION: 3.0 (-46h)" depicts Kitakami Midori, who is at the center of the story, and the temporary provisional version of Evangelion Unit-02 Alpha. The cut from "EVANGELION: 3.0 (-120min.)" depicts Mari speaking to Asuka just before the opening scene of ":Q."
"Monthly Evangelion" will screen one film per month (two films in October) for one week from October 2025 to February 2026. So far, "Neon Genesis Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone," "Neon Genesis Evangelion Air/The End of Evangelion," "Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone," and "Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance" have been screened. "Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo" will be screened from Getsuku to 15th, and "Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time" will be screened from February 13th to 19th.
The first film, "Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death and Rebirth," grossed 200 million yen and attracted over 120,000 viewers. The second film, "Neon Genesis Evangelion Air: The End of Evangelion," grossed 220 million yen and attracted over 140,000 viewers, both of which were very successful.
