"Sponge Shino," the first solo show starring Shinozuka Daiki of the popular eight-member group "timelesz," will begin late at night on January 8th on TV Asahi's monthly variety show slot "Barabara Monthly" (Monday to Thursday, 2:55 a.m. *excluding some areas).
Despite having no experience in dancing or singing, Shinozuka won the auditions and joined "timelesz" thanks to his outstanding talent. In order to take the next step, he aims to absorb the knowledge and skills necessary for the entertainment industry from "professionals in their fields" like a sponge in this variety show. There are four episodes in total.
The program's official account, X (@Ex_sponge_shino), has announced that Hikomaro, Minamikawa, Mr. Shachihoko, and Kintaro will appear as instructors to teach Shinozuka the "rules" and "expert techniques" of entertainment.
TV Asahi producer Kazutaka Hata, who is in charge of the program, commented, "When I first worked with Shinozuka on 'Qsama!!', I was captivated by his star quality and ability to absorb information, and so I came up with the idea for this program. This is Shinozuka's first program to feature him, so he is very enthusiastic about it! During the recording, his ability to absorb information far exceeded the staff's expectations, and it caused a stir on set, in a good way. Also, keep an eye out for his cute sponge headgear!"
