The eighth episode of the popular detective drama "Aibou Season 24" (TV Asahi, Wednesdays at 9 PM), starring Yutaka Mizutani and Yasufumi Terawaki, titled "Owls Fly at Night," will air on December 10th. Guest appearances will be made by Yoshiko Nakata and Shota Fukuyama.
Ukyo (Mizutani) and Koide Mari (Moriguchi Yoko) visit the children's center where Kaoru (Terawaki) and Miwako (Suzuki Sawa) have recently been volunteering. The atmosphere is calm, and the owner, picture book author Namiki Yayoi (Nakata), is reading her own picture book to the children.
However, Ukyo discovers signs of someone breaking into the facility. There is also news that a murder has occurred nearby and the perpetrator is on the run. Ukyo and Kaoru discover the cryptic scribbles of "Ishiya" and "☆18" on a notepad left behind. There is also an illustration of an owl that appears in Yayoi's picture book printed on it.
The victim is a woman who works at a restaurant, and the suspect is her boyfriend. The police begin an investigation, believing it to be a love affair. Ukyo and Kaoru suspect that Yayoi may be involved in the case, so they visit her home, but... A mysterious incident occurs near the children's center. Ukyo attempts to decipher the code!
The script was written by Yoshiyuki Mitsumasu and the director was Go Furukawa.
