It has been announced that a new stage adaptation of the popular manga " Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba " by Koyoharu Gotouge , the sixth production, "Stage ' Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba' Part 6: Pillar Rehearsal," will be produced and will be performed in Tokyo in June 2026. It has also been announced that actors Shogo Sakamoto and Hayate Takahashi will play the main character, Tanjiro Kamado , in a double cast. Visuals of Sakamoto and Takahashi dressed as Tanjiro have been released.
Following on from the previous work, the new work will be written and directed by Tsuneyasu Motoyoshi, with music by Shunsuke Wada. After winning the fierce battle at the swordsmith village, Tanjiro and his friends undergo rigorous training under the "pillar training" of the Demon Slaying Corps' strongest swordsmen, in preparation for their battle against their nemesis , Muzan Kibutsuji .
Sakamoto commented, "I am truly happy to be able to stand on stage as Tanjiro again. I was unable to perform in the last performance due to an injury, but everyone in the company shared my thoughts with me and really supported me. With that gratitude in my heart, I would like to use my whole body to express the strength and kindness of Tanjiro, who looks straight ahead while overcoming pain and conflict."
Takahashi said, "I am really looking forward to standing in front of you all as Tanjiro. This will be a different stage than usual, so I will do my best to express myself and my character and act with all my heart. I am not satisfied with my current efforts, and I am preparing every day so that I can experience the world of the work together with you and convey my passion to you all! I look forward to seeing you at the theater!"
It has also been announced that Takahashi will be appearing on the talk stage at the Nelke Planning booth at Jump Festa 2026, which will be held at Makuhari Messe (Mihama-ku, Chiba City) on December 20th, in addition to Sakamoto and Hashimoto Shohei, who have already been announced.

The "Entertainment District Arc" aired from December 2021 to February 2022, the "Swordsmith Village Arc" from April to June 2023, and the "Hashira Training Arc" from May to June 2024.
