NHK's popular nature program "Darwin's Coming!" (General) will air a segment called "Survive the Crisis! Parenting Survival" on November 30th at 7:30 pm. The program showcases the shocking parenting survival stories of animals, as parents resort to all sorts of unique techniques to save their young.
Baby animals are adorable, but in the wild they are constantly in danger, exposed to all sorts of threats, including fearsome predators, disasters, and environmental changes.
A parent steps up to protect her child. A mother angel crab uses her secret gadget to repel her enemies. A desert bird, the sandgrouse, makes a desperate attempt to get water for her chicks in a pond where predators await. We also see a guanaco blocked by a high fence and an elephant family trying to escape from a flooded river.
