88-year-old actor Manabu Yamamoto will appear on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), which will air on December 1st at 1:00 PM. He lost his beloved wife 18 years ago, and his younger brother, actor Kei Yamamoto, passed away three years ago. He will talk about his feelings toward both of them.
He began having visual hallucinations three years ago, and after going to the hospital he was diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment, which is one step away from dementia. On the advice of a specialist, he began exercise rehabilitation to slow down the progression of the condition, and is now seeing a variety of results.
He also talks about an episode from the play "Horobiki," in which he co-starred with Mori Mitsuko and Kuroyanagi.
